Brown Cow, Mansfield

On Sunday 25th February I performed a short set at the Brown Cow in Mansfield. The reason I only did a 15 minute set is because my throat was extremely sore and I didn’t want to push it more than I needed to! At the time of writing my throat doesn’t hurt so much, but my voice is quite ‘broken’, so I’ve got until Sunday to get it better ready for  the Colwick Hall Wedding Fayre! I sang some quite easy songs at the Brown Cow so I don’t think I did extra damage to my voice by singing, it’s just letting whatever illness I have pan out!

Another mishap was that my piano stand broke! To be fair, it was quite an old stand so I’m not too annoyed about it. The picture above is my impromptu set up – thanks to Kyle & Phil for your quick thinking so that the show could go on!

As my throat was sore, I asked the audience to sing my final song, ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ – thank you so much for helping me out! It was also a nice change to just play piano while everyone was singing along.

This set was my last with Roots Acoustic for the near future, as I am winding down my live public performances with my wedding coming up. I will be coming back in the summer! My last performance with the piano will be at the Tap & Tumbler in Nottingham on Wednesday 21st March, where I am the guest act for their open mic evening.

Dates to Watch Out For in March!

Just a quick blog post about everything upcoming in March! I’m winding down performances this month as my own wedding is coming up in April, so if you don’t catch me during March, the next time you will probably see me performing is June!

Come and look through my huge song list (and ask me to sing one!) and check out my exclusive wedding show details. You can get your FREE tickets here: http://bit.ly/ColwickTickets
  • On Wednesday 21st March I will be headlining the Open Mic at the Tap & Tumbler in Nottingham city centre at 10pm. On Sunday 18th February we exhibited at Goosedale’s Wedding Fayre and we met lots of lovely brides, grooms and their families! It was a last minute wedding fayre but it ended up being the quickest one we have done for set up and pack down! (looks like we have got our routine sorted!)

As always, ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran was the most popular requested song for me to sing but surprisingly, ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ by Aerosmith was also requested a few times!

Our last wedding show of the spring season will be at Colwick Hall on Sunday 4th March so make sure you catch us there!

The Village Hotel Chilwell Wedding Fayre

On Sunday 11th February we exhibited at our 2nd wedding fayre of the year at The Village Hotel in Chilwell, Nottingham! This was a very local show for us, especially as it is where we had our engagement party back in 2015!

We met and booked meetings with lots of lovely brides and grooms and we can’t wait to start helping you plan your special day.

It was also lovely to meet lots of other suppliers too, in particular Aspire Jewellery, who we were next to at Eastwood Hall, Greenfingers Florists, Perry Jackson Saxophonist, Greg Jackson Photography, Mini Me Cake Toppers, Wilde About Tan and LoveStationery!

Our next wedding show is at Colwick Hall in Nottingham on Sunday 4th March!

Charity Gig for ClicSargent

Screen Shot 2018-02-04 at 21.33.55

On Sunday 4th February I performed a set at The Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren as part of their fundraiser for the charity ClicSargent.

Kicking off the music was Mike Hardy, followed by myself, then Josh and Mike and finally Jake and Sam headlining.

I’m sure that once again we raised loads of money for ClicSargent, it was a fantastic evening with a great turnout. Many thanks to everyone who kindly came up to me after my set and told me how much they enjoyed it!

Over the next few weeks I’ll be uploading a couple of videos I recorded at the gig to my Youtube channel, so give me a subscribe to be updated when I upload a new video!
